For Taha, the outdoor spaces were designed to complement the neutral-toned, contemporary interior. The demarcation of different social and solitary activities was achieved through differences in flooring, wall finishes, and furniture cues. When it came to the ceiling, partitioned louvres frame the raised wooden deck while adjacent hanging lights provide illumination for evening entertainment. In the periphery, an absence of fencing ensures that the patio constantly remains connected to both the backyard as well as the backdrop of the Margalla Hills.
