A renovation project, the Badar Residence’s existing structure had immense potential to be converted into a modern day contemporary design. Louvered wooden screens break the massing of the existing elevation and provide a point of visual interest from both near and afar. At the forefront, floor-length windows, a running beam, and wide steps greet the user indoors. This level of transparency allows the inhabitants of the home to remain visually connected with the outdoor landscaped features, particularly the lone Bonsai tree which will, as it ages, provide another layer of privacy from the street.
