DHA ROUND ABOUTS

LAHORE | PAKISTAN
Commercial | Architecture | 4400 sq. ft

In collaboration with FWO, each roundabout in DHA-5 Lahore incorporates tangible and intangible elements of Pakistani culture that offer relatability to the traveler, regardless of their social backgrounds. The principles of Quaid, the architectural remnants of Lahore’s gateways, and Jasmine, the national flower, were some of the concepts applied to this urban-scale venture. Materiality within each roundabout varied between modern renditions of concrete to traditional materials of brick, offering another layer of dimension to the project’s intent.
