Nestled next to the Kunhar River, the project pays homage to the rugged and untouched terrain of Kaghan Valley. The contemporary design of the structure attempts at creating more transparency and inclusivity within the rich context. The interplay of solids and voids through broken slanted roofs and wide spanning fenestration offers stolen glimpses of thick dense forests and the rolling Himalayas. While the design applies a modern touch to its profile, it comes back to the context through its use of materiality; raw, exposed and natural. It attempts to immerse itself with its surrounding landscape, while being respectful to the beauty of North Pakistan.
